Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.


Therefore; Improving ones health should be holistic. At the end of the day; one attribute of our health with effect the other in some shape or form.



Here are 5 ways you can take care of your mental health:


  1. Look after your body - Regular exercise, good nutrition, drinking enough water and getting enough sleep all play a part in not only your physical wellbeing but also your mental wellbeing

  2. Find ways to decrease or manage stress - Practise relaxation techniques (such as breath work and meditation), set achievable goals, know what triggers stress and remove if possible (is there something you can outsource?) and most importantly find time for things that you enjoy and that make you feel good.

  3. Find your purpose - Having a purpose can give you motivation and increase your self esteem.

  4. Schedule some YOU time - Take time out to do something just for you; this can help to relax and reset.

  5. Ask for help - It takes courage to ask for help but it is important to seek professional help when needed

Your mental health matters and is just as important as your physical health! Put it on the priority list!
